Your first Kakobuy order feels like a maze until you have done it once. This checklist is the exact sequence a first-timer should follow — account setup, cart, payment, QC review, ship-out — with the small notes about where new buyers usually get stuck.
Step 1 — Create the account
Sign up with email and your local phone number. Verify the email link, set a password, and turn on 2FA if the account settings offer it. No Chinese ID or phone is required. Set your default shipping country early — it changes some downstream defaults on carriers and currency.
Step 2 — Paste your first seller link
Find a candidate on the community spreadsheet (or wherever you found the item) and copy the Taobao / Weidian URL. Paste it into Kakobuy’s search bar. The item preview loads with title, price, images and size options. Pick your options exactly — Kakobuy does not translate M vs 中 for you.
Step 3 — Add to cart and pay
- Click add to cart, then head to checkout.
- Confirm shipping country and add your address.
- Pay with card, wallet or wire (see the payment guide).
- Note the order ID — you will use it to look up the parcel later.
Step 4 — Warehouse arrival
The seller ships to Kakobuy’s China warehouse in 3 to 7 days. You get a dashboard notification when it lands. The item is now in your warehouse queue waiting for QC.
Step 5 — QC review
Kakobuy takes 3 to 6 standard photos of the item and posts them under the order. Review carefully — see the QC review guide for a five-minute checklist. Accept or request replacement / refund from this screen.
Step 6 — Ship-out
- Choose the international carrier. See the shipping guides for US, EU or AU / NZ.
- Confirm packing preferences (shoe boxes yes/no, remove tags yes/no).
- Pay the international shipping quote.
- Track from the dashboard until delivery.
Rookie stumbles to avoid
Do not order five items on your first go. One item on the first attempt teaches you the loop; five items on the first attempt teaches you the loop while five variables are moving at once.
